Master Cleanse is a Helpful to Improve Your Health

Overtime, our body accumulates many harmful toxins from the food we eat, a Master Cleanse will help you detox your body. These harmful toxins usually prevent our body from absorbing nutrients and make us feel tired and bloated. If these toxins are not flushed out rather quickly, our body may suffer from various medical complications. But don’t worry, because there is a solution to this problem! To cleanse your body of these toxins you need to do a Master Cleanse.

The Master Cleanse was developed by Stanley Burroughs in the  1940s. However, it did not gain the widespread popularity, until 1976 when Burroughs authored his book, The Master Cleanser and Healing for the Age of Enlightenment.

The Master Cleanse is a special diet, which aims to cleanse your digestive system. The Master Cleanse comprises of consuming only a tea (used at night) and lemonade made with cayenne pepper and maple syrup to eliminate toxic substances from your body. This diet makes you healthier by getting rid of toxins, which allows nutrients to be better absorbed into your body.

Many nutritionists and trainers believe that Master Cleanse may cause harm to one’s body by slowing the metabolic rate, and worse, by making one’s body low in essential nutrients!

However, the Master Cleanse does no such thing! Research suggests that individuals who undertake the Master Cleanse have higher metabolic rates and they are more vitalized than their counterparts who advocate against it. In order to avoid any side effects from this cleanse, maintain a healthy lifestyle after the cleanse is over, which means, do not return to your old ways of eating larger portions and processed foods. Eat only pure, whole, live, organic, non-gmo nutrient dense foods that heal and build a healthy body. The Master Cleanse is meant to be done occasionally, overdoing it can leading to potential nutritional deficiencies!

The Master Cleanse Recipe

The recipe for a Master Cleanse is very simple. All you have to do is drink at least 60 oz. of lemonade a day. Below is a recipe of how to make your lemonade.


Ingredients (single serve):

  • Lemon juice from half an organic lemon (about 2 Tablespoons)
  • Two teaspoon of organic grade B maple syrup
  • 1/10 teaspoon of non-irradiated Cayenne pepper powder
  • 10 ounces of filtered water


Pour the organic lemon juice in a glass, add all the ingredients one by one mixing thoroughly after they are added. Let it rest for a moment and then drink it!  It is important to use a glass straw to avoid the direct contact of the acid from the lemons on your teeth.  Plastic straws may have toxins that will leech into your mouth if used with this mixture for a long period of time.

How to do a Master Cleanse

The Complete Master Cleanse is made up of a strict daily routine that involves taking a morning salt-water flush, then at least six 10 oz glasses of lemonade during the day and a healthy night herbal laxative tea. Doing this routine for about least ten days will ensure that the toxins in your body are completely flushed out.

During the master cleanse the particular lemonade nutrients replaces the nutrients from your usual diet. However, you must drink additional water to thoroughly cleanse your body. This not only increases your energy levels, but also helps with weight loss and increases the metabolic rate of your body! Many health conscious people get rid of gluten and other toxins by doing a Master Cleanse at least once a year! So why don’t you give it a try as well?

The following is a daily regimen that you are required to follow strictly for a minimum of 10 days.

  1. Starting the day – Start your day with a salt water flush. You can make your saltwater my mixing lukewarm water with about two teaspoons of non-iodized sea or himalayan salt.  Drink about a quarter of this salt water before taking anything else.
  2. During the day – Drink at least six 10 oz glasses of the master cleanse lemonade. This will help detoxify your body and reduce excessive body weight. If you are underweight or do not want to lose weight then increasing the amount of syrup slightly in your recipe, will help.
  3. Ending the day – To end the day, it is advisable that you drink a cup of herbal laxative tea. This will help relax your body and allow you to sleep better. You can also consider taking organic peppermint tea.

The Master Cleanse offers many health benefits in addition to helping clear harmful toxins and pollutants from your body. The following are some the important benefits you will derive from a master cleanse:

Following this suggestion can replace the coffee which acts as a diuretic and dehydrates the body.
